Among them, 3 are from Zibo production area and 4 are from Linyi production area. It is understood that the seven medium plate production lines under construction have a single-line designed daily production capacity of 35,000-40,000 square meters, which means that the daily production capacity of medium plate in Shandong production areas will increase by at least 245,000 square meters next year.

According to the 2020 "Ceramic Information" "Ceramic Industry Long March" field survey, as of the end of July 2020, there were 80 ceramic construction companies and 142 ceramic tile production lines in Shandong Province. Among them, there are 46 glazed tile production lines, 43 porcelain tile production lines, 23 antique tile production lines, 10 large plate production lines, and 6 medium plate production lines...
The six medium plate production lines are mainly distributed in Zibo Jinyi Ceramics Co., Ltd., Zibo Weineng Ceramics Co., Ltd., Shandong Guorun Ceramics Co., Ltd., Linyi Yizhou Building Ceramics Co., Ltd., Shandong Huayu International Holdings Co., Ltd., Shandong Huadiyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. has six ceramic companies with a total daily production capacity of 147,000 square meters.
Now, with the construction of 7 large-capacity production lines by 7 ceramic companies, the daily production capacity of medium plates in Shandong production areas will reach a new high, which may, to a large extent, alleviate the market pressure on wall tiles in Shandong production areas.
It is understood that ceramic companies currently building medium plate production lines include Zibo Xinjinyi Ceramics Co., Ltd., Zibo Weineng Ceramics Co., Ltd., Shandong Hongshi Ceramics Technology Co., Ltd. in the Zibo production area, and Linyi Dajiang in the Linyi production area. Construction Ceramics Co., Ltd., Linyi Hongdu Construction Ceramics Co., Ltd., Linyi Dongyu Construction Ceramics Co., Ltd. and Linyi Lianshun Construction Ceramics Co., Ltd.
Among them, five ceramic companies, Zibo Xinjinyi Ceramics, Linyi Lianshun Ceramics, Linyi Dongyu Ceramics, Linyi Dajiang Ceramics, and Linyi Hongdu Ceramics, converted their original interior wall tile production lines into medium plate Production line; Shandong Hongshi Ceramic Technology is building a new medium plate production line; Zibo Weineng Ceramics is expanding a large-capacity medium plate production line to replace the original medium plate production line with a daily production capacity of 20,000 square meters.

In recent years, with the rise of mid-board products in production areas such as Jiangxi and Fujian, its share of the terminal market has also increased rapidly, and its impact on interior wall tiles has also become increasingly prominent. Under this situation, as the interior wall tile production base with the most concentrated production in China, Shandong ceramic companies are naturally under the most prominent sales pressure. Especially since this year, with the expansion of medium plate in more production areas,With online production, most interior wall tile manufacturers in Shandong, including Zibo and Linyi, are under tremendous market pressure.
According to a person in charge of a ceramics company in Linyi who did not want to be named, the switch from interior wall tiles to mid-board production was really a helpless move. Previously, interior wall tiles were the mainstream product in the Linyi production area. While ceramic companies continue to improve their investment in product research and development, production equipment, etc., their product competitiveness is also constantly strengthening. But now, affected by increasingly fierce cost competition, all ceramic companies need to survive and develop, and have to change their production of medium-sized boards to cater to the market.
For most ceramic companies, this production change will require investment of tens of millions of yuan. This is a considerable expense for manufacturers under the current situation.
“This time, 50 million yuan was invested in the renovation, and the press, inkjet machine, kiln and other equipment need to be replaced.” The person in charge of the above-mentioned ceramic company told "Ceramic Information".
In fact, for the seven medium plate production lines under construction, all seven ceramic companies have increased the designed daily production capacity of medium plates to a certain extent in line with the principle of reducing production costs.
According to "Ceramic Information", the designed daily production capacity of the seven production lines is 35,000-40,000 square meters. In other words, after work resumes next year, the daily production capacity of medium plates in Shandong production areas will reach 245,000 square meters only with the newly added part. Combined with the original daily production capacity of medium plates, the daily production capacity of medium plates in Shandong production areas next year will exceed 400,000 square meters.
It is worth mentioning that according to the construction plan, most ceramic companies are expected to complete the construction of production lines before the year. “Our medium plate production line is scheduled to be put into operation before the year.” Zhang Mingsheng, deputy general manager of Linyi General Building Ceramics Co., Ltd. said. In addition, Lin Zaihong, general manager of Linyi Hongdu Building Ceramics Co., Ltd., also said that his company also plans to put into production before the year, but it depends on the progress of the construction period, and it can be put into production as soon as work resumes next year at the latest.
